Powerhouse Dragonboat Racing Club (DBRC) is the dragonboat racing team/crew within Tees Valley Dragons.
Dragon Boating is an exciting and fast-growing water sport in the UK which, is open to ages 10 and above and to all fitness levels.
Dragon boating has a very strong team ethos as we must paddle together in time and in close proximity to each other. Each boat consists of a crew of 20 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 helm (steerer). Powerhouse is a community-based amateur sports club situated in the North East of England, who train on the River Tees. We also race throughout the UK at British Dragon Boat Association national league events. As well as hosting race meets which attract teams from all over the country we support requests for charity fundraising events and attendance at major festivals and regattas.
